The MacBook Air is all the rage right now.  It’s all over Digg and pretty much any other technology site you look at.  Also found all over the blogosphere are the never ending debates as to whether PC’s or Mac’s are inherently more secure.  After thinking about all of this and considering how incredibly thin the MacBook Air really is (which does amaze me to a certain extent) I have come to the conclusion that the MacBook Air may very well be a security threat to itself.  What do I mean by this?  Well, it’s simple.  If you truly can slide the MacBook Air into a manila postal envelope, then wouldn’t it be incredibly easy for someone to swipe it off your desk, slip it into an envelope and ship it off to their home address?  Personally, I think it would be.  What do you guys think?

On a more serious note, this new product by Apple is pretty impressive.  It’s the thinnest laptop computer currently available on the market and yet it still manages to squeeze in an 80 GB SATA hard drive (or 64 GB Solid State Drive), 2 GB of RAM and a camera.  The one downside is the lack of an optical drive.  If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out at the link above.
