It’s finally the big day, November 4th, 2008. Election Day! Personally, I have already voted (using an absentee ballot); but if you haven’t I suggest that you get out and do it. It’s really not that difficult, and now thanks to Google you can’t use the excuse that you do not know where to vote.
As I was surfing around this morning, I noticed that Google Maps has a special feature which will allow you to find your voting location. All you need to do is enter your home address or the address at which you are registered to vote. With this information, Google will search its massive magical databases and give you a convenient little map showing you exactly where you are supposed to vote (directions included). It really couldn’t be any easier. It’s nice to see how technology can work to help make the voting process easier, especially among all the negative reports recently regarding electronic voting machines.
Click Here to find your voting location using Google Maps. The site does warn that users should confirm their polling place with election officials. I will say that the search accurately found and displayed my correct polling place. Check it out!
